Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the proper use and maintenance of the LaMotte Insta-Test 30 Free Chlorine and pH TesTabs kit. This kit is designed for accurate measurement of free chlorine and pH levels in water, commonly used for pools and spas.

Installation
Preparation for Testing
- Ensure the comparator block is clean and dry. Rinse with the water to be tested before use.
- Gather the appropriate TesTabs for the desired test (DPD 1 for Free Chlorine, Phenol Red for pH).
- Recueillir une eau sample from the area to be tested. For pools, collect water at elbow depth, away from return lines.

Free Chlorine Test Procedure
- Fill the left chamber of the comparator block to the "FILL" line with the water sample.
- Add one DPD 1 TesTab to the water sample in the left chamber. Do not touch the TesTab directly with your fingers.
- Cap the chamber and shake gently until the TesTab dissolves completely. A pink color will develop if free chlorine is present.
- Immediately compare the color in the chamber to the Free Chlorine (CI DPD) color standards on the comparator block. Read the result that most closely matches the sampla couleur.
pH Test Procedure
- Fill the right chamber of the comparator block to the "FILL" line with the water sample.
- Add one Phenol Red TesTab to the water sample in the right chamber. Do not touch the TesTab directly with your fingers.
- Cap the chamber and shake gently until the TesTab dissolves completely. A color will develop indicating the pH level.
- Immediately compare the color in the chamber to the pH color standards on the comparator block. Read the result that most closely matches the sampla couleur.
Note: For accurate results, perform tests immediately after collecting the water sample and read results promptly after TesTab dissolution.

Nettoyage et stockage
- After each use, thoroughly rinse the comparator block with clean water and allow it to air dry.
- Store TesTabs in their original blister packs in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Keep the entire kit in its protective storage case when not in use.
